Heres just a few cars i grew up driving as a reckless youngster. The celebrity was my first car that me and my sister shared.The 72 Malibu was my first car i ever bought with my own money. it was painted a brownish gold and had real fat back tires (jacked up) i also had about 15 stickers all over the back window. The gto was my dads. i would drive it when my car broke down or for a date.My dad used to drive that goat real fast with the classic rock blasting real loud. Last but not least the 62 corvette!!! what an amazing car. i was supposed to drive it on my prom night but my parents had to sell it in the divorce settlement. IM STILL PISSED ABOUT THAT!!!

Copyright Criminals looks at the creative and monetary debates over musical sampling, mashing up music videos, studio visits, history, and talking heads including George Clinton and De La Soul.

The documentary on beat mining rounds up more issues than a town hall meeting, poring over everything from the best props for a sampled artist, to the basic merits and methods of the omnivorous art. The tone leans toward pro, with persuasive soundbites that liken sampling to archeology (the listener digs through the aural layers) and the democratic fact that “all these legendary musicians are in my band.” As Picasso once said: good artists borrow, great artists steal.

To celebrate the closing of 2009, and our 15th year, we dedicated an entire issue to one of the most groundbreaking and influential collective movements of our existence: The Barnstormers. Edited by filmmaker, documentarian, and writer Joey Garfield (a Barnstormer himself), the issue covers both the past, present, and future of the collective, with an essay by Garfield on the evolution of the Barnstormers. Featuring cover artist Jose Parla, December also features Rostarr, ALIFE, Kenji Hirata, Mike Ming, Cannonball Press, West One, Doze Green, Kami, Sasu, Maya Hayuk, Swoon, the Inkheads crew, as well as an Insider piece on the founding father of the Barnstormers, David "Skwerm" Ellis.
The Barnstormers crew is a key component to contemporary art. As a collective, they created some of the most amazing and essential work of the past decade, and as individual artists, they are defining a generation. What started in Cameron, North Carolina has become an international-renowned movement and moment. The story continues.

Neckface will turn Miami inside out for his premiere solo exhibition in the Magic City. This Halloween night, Neckface will deconstruct all 10,000 square feet of O.H.W.O.W. and build a world like no other. Featuring a large-scale haunted house installation, complete with Neckface's iconic imagery, the Devil’s Disciple exhibition is designed to frighten viewers as they enter the space.

The crux of the exhibition though will surely be Neckface's new work. A deviation from the norm, it is chock-full of his signature imagery interweaved with a personal dimension that is much more palpable in the paintings. After so many years of crafting a persona and building up walls around himself and his moniker, the reclusive Neckface has finally cracked open the door ever so slightly and let us into his world.

For the No Longer Empty exhibition, I am presenting a portable "ready-made object" in the tradition of Marcel Duchamp.

The image of LOT 193-38B shows the property of 51 | 53 Bergen Street, the present location of The Invisible Dog, between 1939 and 1941. I have made the image my own creation by retouching the original through digital manipulation and placing the photographic document into a non-traditional A-Frame or “real estate” display, as part of an ongoing invisible sale perhaps.

documenting their work in urban settings to create "The Landing" the first in a

NYC Skate Legend Andy Kessler Dies

One of NYC's skateboarding legends, Andy Kessler, died yesterday in Montauk at the age of 49. Initial reports are stating that the cause of death was an allergic reaction to a hornet sting. In 2005, New York magazine profiled the skater and the Zoo York tribe he was a part of, just as the West Coast skaters were getting all the attention on the big screen.

BoingBoing has a quote about Kessler from Glen E. Friedman, a photographer who chronicled skate culture, saying, "If skateboarding was a town, this guy was its mayor. Andy Kessler, one of the good ones... This was a great dude, NO ONE could say anything wrong about this dude. He was one of the oldest, if not the oldest, skater in New York City, holding it down, real since the 70's. Andy will be seriously missed by many including myself." The conception of this project consistently derives from its underlying architecture - the theoretic conception and visual pattern of the Hamburg Kunsthalle. The Basic idea of narration was to dissolve and break through the strict architecture of O. M. Ungers "Galerie der Gegenwart". Resultant permeabilty of the solid facade uncovers different interpretations of conception, geometry and aesthetics expressed through graphics and movement. A situation of reflexivity evolves - describing the constitution and spacious perception of this location by means of the building itself.

I remember putting up ANDRE THE GIANT stickers with Raven in 92. Raven went to school with him in Rode Island and in return of printing stickers for peoples bands, graffiti artist and clothing companies you had to slap up his famous icon " Andre Giant has a posse " joints in your home town during holiday breaks.
